My research about making Sculpted Prims with Zbrush. The second half also covers baking Ambient Occlusion textures in 3ds Max. Wasn't able to test my prims in SL yet:P but in offline viewer they look ok. So if some of you already making 3d content for SL, tell me what is wrong here; I'd have a lots of questions for you as well.

It was mostly an experiment, started before SL received mesh support.

I don't really know what the number thing you did is... but I LOVE the model of the cat!

I was going to ask you..., I heard that the Playstation 2 model of Ratchet (from the Ratchet and Clank games) has about 6000 polys... how do they make it look so smooth with no... squares bits with so few polys?

Thanks, looks like most people faved it only because of that.

6000 polys is not very few for game model, and I think there was used simple smoothing group tecnology. It smooth-shades borders between polygons, and eliminates the faceted look. You can see the example in viewport of Blender or 3ds Max, when even lowpoly sphere appears smoothed.

Very nicely done. I'm going to come back and study this when I get some free time. Boy, you're really on top of this. :)
